Tracy Daniels, Chief Data Officer, Truist
Tracy Daniels is the Chief Data Officer for Truist. In this role, Daniels leads the Truist team dedicated to enterprise capabilities of data including data strategy, governance, delivery for Client, Master and Reference Data, Analytics and Data Science workbench and the Business Intelligence platforms. The CDO remit also includes unstructured data on the content management platforms and workflow systems.
Daniels joined Truist (Heritage SunTrust) from Bank of America in August 2018. She has over 25 years of banking and technology experience leading high performing technology portfolio, development, infrastructure and global operations organizations.
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario Canada, Daniels has a BA from the University of Western Ontario, a BSc in Management from Winston Salem State University and a MBA from Wake Forest University. She enjoys participating in civic and philanthropic endeavors including the Junior League of Charlotte, Foundation for the Carolinas community building initiative and has led global Employee Resource Groups with more than 30K participants. She has had the honor of being awarded a National 2013 WOC STEM Rising Star award, being a mentor of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Mentor for Women program and was the recipient of the 2017 Working Mother magazine Mother of the Year award.
Daniels is married with three children and is based in Atlanta.
